Job Profile – Senior Manager/ Associate Vice President – Legal Division

The position is responsible for managing the legal activities in the company, to plan and direct all aspects of the legal business by providing legal expertise. To overlook delivery, timelines and quality of activities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Responsible for ensuring all operational processes in the dept are carried out effectively & efficiently
  • Drafting of Legal Documents & replies both from the Corporate & financial perspective. The areas of  drafting would be:
-       Drafting of sales deeds/ lease deeds
-       Drafting of PMS documentation for new product offer
-       Drafting of Agreements viz., Shareholders, Joint Venture, Non-compete and Trademark Licensing, sale of  undertakings/businesses
-       Loan documentation including guarantees
  • Liaison with all Government Authorities, Trademark attorneys, Lawyers and handling of company’s regular and major litigations at the Group level
  • Exposure in overseas litigations and overseas transactions within the parameters of the Indian Regulatory authorities and Reserve Bank of India
  • Drafting, vetting, reviewing, approval and interpretation of various types of documents including leasing, licensing, commercial agreements, contracts, land acquisition, revenue related matters, branch agreements etc.
  • Providing management consultancy services by undertaking legal research, legal document preparation as well as legal document / agreement  reviews, etc
  • Handling arbitration and alternative settlement of dispute being cost effective and less time taking measures
  • Representing case of disputes before tribunals and judicial authorities.
  • Conducting extensive research work and finding case laws, corresponding with counsels and clients in relation to the various legal matters etc.
  • Legal due diligence for all transactions done by the desk
  • Need to liaise with various divisions, locations, and functional areas for  any legal issues
  • Responsible for all ensuring all regulatory queries to the department are resolved within the defined TAT’s.
  • Personally resolve escalated queries.


JOB REQUIREMENTS


o   LLB / LLM with 6 -8 yrs experience which should include at least 3 - 4 yrs of exp. in broking / financial services industry.
o   Should have handled civil & criminal cases, drafting of legal documents, contracts etc.
o   Should possess good communication skills
o   Should possess an eye for detail & good time management skills.
